Welcome Dr. Kim Winton to our practice!

Welcome Dr. Kim Winton to our practice!

I want to warmly welcome a new addition to my practice, Dr. Kim Winton! I have long been looking for a top-notch candidate who could fit into this practice, be committed to biological dentistry, and treat my patients with the quality, compassion, and gentleness they deserve as I begin to slow down and take more time off (see below). Dr. Winton is it! I’ve known her for a few years and have helped guide her into advanced training in biological (“holistic”) dentistry, including with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Winton, and I know you’re going to love her. I’ll let her tell you a little more about herself:

Kimberly Winton grew up in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City – School of Dentistry. Her love of the outdoors and the culture of the Pacific Northwest inspired a move to Seattle to complete a residency in general dentistry at the University of Washington. Here, she began to hone and refine her clinical skills and dental philosophy. While the path to masterdom is infinite, she quickly discovered an alternative route, beginning her survey of biological dentistry. This path fundamentally aligned with her perspective and personal philosophy regarding the harmony between patient, practitioner, vitality, and the environment. Through first-hand witness and scientific study, she began to see the breadth and power of this philosophy in its ability to support health. She is dedicated to pursuing and implementing advances in this field to offer the best to her patients She has trained with, and continues to be active in the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). It is her goal to provide high-quality, state-of-the-art dentistry while treating each patient respectfully and compassionately.

Dr. Winton has special interest in treating both the young and the young at heart. She has had focused training in pediatric and geriatric dentistry, and aims to give individualized, focused care to create a positive experience for every member of your family. She believes in education as empowerment, and is dedicated to working with you to find the most effective treatment and prevention strategies for your individual needs.

She believes that when your work aligns with your core values, it feels less like work and more like “life”. However, when not at work, Dr. Winton enjoys being outside to both stay active and to just stay still. She enjoys skiing, hiking, rock-climbing, and playing soccer. She also loves being in her kitchen, cooking and baking for her friends and family.

I’m “slowing down”

I’m still here! I’m just slowing down my pace of practice and looking forward to enjoying more time off. I will still be seeing patients, but on a more limited basis as Dr. Winton integrates into the practice.

I will also continue to work with Dr. Winton as a mentor, when needed, and be available to consult regarding patient treatment. The reverse is also true. I’ll have Dr. Winton to confer with and run ideas by. You’ll have the advantage of two dentists!

Now accepting kids in the practice!

I haven’t treated kids for a long time, and there has always been a dilemma of who I can recommend to you parents who can work with your kids in a holistic way. Now we have a great answer. Dr. Winton has extensive training and experience in “pediatric” dentistry, and we are excited to be able to offer this to you now. She will be accepting appointments for kids, and I hope we can make you feel comfortable that this is now the place you can bring your kids for appropriate treatment, in a relaxed and caring environment and a holistic philosophy.

Thank you so much for your loyalty and support of my practice. Dr. Winton and I look forward to continuing to work with you for your optimal dental health!

Paul G Rubin, DDS
